Recently a friend inquired concerning Alphabiotics and its effect on addictive behavior. My reply:
Dear Xxxx,
Yes, certainly we have helped many with addiction. Addictive tendencies are exacerbated by stress. I have even noticed this myself, e.g. when I am stressed, the desire to use gaming apps, serially, on my iPhone, over-trading, etc.
When the brain’s reward center (nucleus accumbens) is activated, the ensuing dopamine ‘high’ seems to temporarily relief the undesirable emotional effects of stress. This leads to addictive behavior, as one ‘hit’ of dopamine is never enough. Rather than helping the individual return to balance, activating the ‘reward center’, creates an addictive spiral. So, it’s really not so rewarding after all.
– Alphabiotics, by balancing the brain and exiting the individual from deep limbic function (which is closely related to the so called ‘reward center’), helps one gain access to an elevated state of consciousness, where it is no longer necessary to ‘win’ in order to feel complete. The participant experiences a different kind of happiness – one related more to a feeling of ‘wholeness’.
In fact, in a perfect state of consciousness it is possible to sense that your individual value is not a function of what you have accomplished (“won”) or of other people’s admiration – but the birth right of every man and woman experiencing the miracle of life. In this state of expanded awareness, some feel reminded they are made in the image and likeness of their Maker and may even feel closer to Him. Obviously if one calibrates at a level of consciousness like this, a state of mind like addiction would seem foreign, even peculiar. Certainly mundane.
Everyone’s experience is completely individual and unique. The simple answer is that stress tends to make people want to activate their ‘reward center’ more than not. Since we release stress and create a higher more integrated state of consciousness, most people find the process helpful.
I hope this answers at least part of your question. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
Clark
